A Discrete but Functional Method for Illuminating Small Objects
Shepherds Crook Overview
The Shepherds Crook is an optional termination to a fiber tail which holds the fiber at a 60° angle from vertical and is very useful for illuminating a static arrangement of objects.
This fitting can also make a very successful task lamp for reading rooms or reception desks.
The crook is fitted from below the surface through a 0.4in (10mm) x 1.37in (35mm) slot cut in the mounting surface. A mounting foot is supplied to allow the shaft to be clamped to a surface and to cover the slot. The foot comes in two parts which are both screwed to the surface. A grub screw tightens onto and holds the shaft at the required height.[p>
The Shepherds Crook comes fitted as part of a harness and is not an interchangeable fitting. A fitted lens is an optional extra.
